I am thinking of going on a 3 month purge of shopping, eating out, and basically wasting my money. I want to do longer, but I do want to see how I work out with these 3 months. Here is my list as to why:
1. To learn how to pass up a sale (oh, so painful)
2. I want to see how I will change, both as a person and consumer, by the end of this experiment
3. To become more green (waste not, want not!)
4. So I will actually use and wear what is in my closet, instead of buying something new every time there is an event (and by "event" I mean any Saturday night, an afternoon movie, a lunch date, walk in the park, etc.)
5. To save money
6. To stop buying useless instant gratification pieces, and become a more conscious shopper
7. To see how I will spend my free time if I am not in the shops (so far, most of my extra time has been spent on this blog!)
8. I wasn’t prepared to go to AA
9. To get my creative juices flowing (the challenge of creating pieces with what I have, using my arts and craft skills for DIY projects, etc.)
10. To see if I can do it!
